You don’t have to be young again to have those smooth, vein free legs. Sclerotherapy and other treatments now ensure that you keep your healthy looking legs for an extended period.
Sclerotherapy is amongst other remedies that provide impressive results for treating Spider veins. Before the treatment your doctor will advice you not to use any oil, moisturizing lotion or sun block on the area to be treated. A single treatment takes a good 15 to 45 minutes with no aesthetic needed simply cause the treatment is almost pain free. Sclerotherapy is an injection method, using a very fine needle a sclerosing solution is injected directly into the blood vessel.

|
What the solution does is: It irritates the lining of the vessel, which then causes the vessel to collapse and the blood to clot. A single vessel maybe injected more than once, with weeks or months apart. A number of vessels can also be injected per session. The solution for Sclerotherapy differs depending on the size of the vessels. Spider veins differ from Varicose veins, which are larger (more than a quarter of an inch in diameter), they more prone to cause pain and need surgical treatment. Spider veins can be linear (appear as separate lines), arborzing (on the outer thigh in a branch like formation) or in a true spider shape.
Sclerotherapy is safe on all skin types, but should not be done on breast feeding or pregnant women. Doctors haven’t identified the effects of scleros solution on breast milk. The treatment does not prevent new veins from surfacing, but merely treats the visible ones. Risks connected to Sclerotherapy are blood clots in veins and telangiectatic matting (fine reddish vessels which appear around the treated area).
After the session an antiseptic solution will be used to wipe the areas that have been injected, to prevent any infection. You’ll be required to wear tight fitting hose for 72 hours, to prevent unwanted blood clots and to assist in healing. |
You should a bit of bruising, which will disappear in 4 weeks. Brownish pigmentation is seen in most cases, which is normal and takes a little over a year to fade away. During your recovery period, you should walk short distances to prevent clotting and you should not sit for long periods of time. Jogging and strenuous exercise is also to be put on pause.

After the full recovery period your skin should look younger and healthier than before. A low $150 - $400 per sited section will guarantee you those young looking and healthy legs.
